| Guerlain Terracotta Sun in the City |
This hefty piece of kit has to be the most extravagant cosmetic purchase I have ever made at €60 I made sure i tried it at the counter before I bought it, and I thought it was pretty amazing when applied......
 |
| Amazing 15g worth of product |
I was in the market for a Highlighter with a golden hue to use during the summer and this finely milled glimmery powder came out no1 after looking what else was on offer from the other counters, and this is how I justified the price, It comes in a huge pretty sleek compact with 15g of product and its so highly pigmented you need only a light hand to apply a shimmer to cheek bones, This big boy better be lasting me till im well into my 80s, What sold it to me too is that you can use it anywhere on your body, Sweep it over your Decolletage, arms, legs, arse, wherever you like. And packaging plays a big part for me when i buy cosmetics the same product in cheaper looking packaging would not have swung the deal for me, lets just take a moment to stare at how beautiful it is..................

| OOOOOOH AAAAAAAH |
As I said applying this with a soft powder brush a very light hand is needed or else youll end up looking like that statue man who stands on a box on grafton st.This is limited edition so If youd like to purchase one get in there fast, Ive done a couple of swatches but they really dont do it justice ........

So there you have it, What was your most extravagant cosmetic purchase? and do you love it or regret it?
This looks so lovely! I keep seeing this pop up, it definitely seems to be a popular splurge item for the summer. :]
ReplyDeleteIt better last me at least 2 summers lol
DeleteSo pretty! I love highlighter just recently.
ReplyDeleteLast year I got a Bobbi Brown shimmer brick (£30) and I look back and think GOSH would I spend that much on one thing now!?
Actually... probably. ;)
I love Bobbi Brown, Thanks for the comment :)
DeleteIt's a beauty. Guerlain is such an extravagant brand and their packaging is always interesting. I bought a lipstick a few months ago, the packing was like a heavy silver computer mouse with a mirror that flipped open built in. Don't feel to bad about the price. I spent €55 on the Chanel Blush Horizon from the S/S collection. Worth every penny lol :)
ReplyDeletePackaging is everything.. my kids had to eat beans for a week after i bought this :/
