pass the champagne......what?? that's bulmers!! Once upon a time I was a smashbox primer junkie but these days I'm telling a different story :-(
Ya see I was hit by the recession and had to leave my one true love and down grade to a cheaper slightly crapier primer, loreal studio secret.,It was ok for a while but its 19 euro and you only get a tiny tinchy winchy bit in a little tiny tub and it only lasted like 2 days!!
So whats a girl to do??? I called upon my beautiful sister to help me with my devastating problem. She offered me the arse ends of all her primers so I could try find the perfect primer. And yes!! I found the one!! I am in love!! Avon magix primer at 16 euro, I'll take two!! Im also ordering avon primed for perfection, obviously not paying full price as I gotta girl on the inside (winky wink wink). AND ITS IN A PUMPY BOTTLE and I do like a pumpy bottles as it reminds me of my smashbox days......
Oh avon is there anything you cant do???
Have you ever entered the beauty hand me down state of affairs like me??

Slapping on the slap
It seems every time i buy a foundation the sales assistant ALWAYS asks me how i apply my foundation, to which i reply "eh with my fingers" embarrassed as it doesnt seem the IN thing to do these days, but on the advice of my sister jo a few years back i bought a normal foundation brush, looks like a paint brush, feels like a paint brush paint your slap on like paint, i hated it it left a streaky unfinished look, so i swiftly went back to blending foundation with my fingers.
Cut to a few years later and i think to myself "maybe ill give the brushes one more try" ya know so i dont feel like a teenager applying orange slap from the pound shop, i did some interweb research and i didnt need to look far as everywhere i looked the real techniques stipplling brush designed by samantha chapman of the pixiewoo tutorials fame kept coming up, there was soooooo much hype about this brush that i thought my life would immedietly be better if i bought this brush.
So on my birthday weekend away (where i spent eleventy million euro on make up) i wandered (raced) into the local boots to pick one up, it set me back 16.50, but whats money if your whole life is gonna change, right?
The brush is a dual fibre flat top brush and is designed to buff foundation into your skin for a flawless airbrushed finish, i legged it back to my hotel chisled off existing slap and set about applying my new foundation like a pro, like a pro i tell you, and i say that twice because i watched about 100 you tube videos about how to use it,
Buffing Blending i did it all, The result? i hear you scream, the result was disapointing, i found it hard to work with and i ended up blending with my trusty fingers, the tools god gave me,
Never again will i be sucked in by such hype *lies*
How do you apply your make up? Am i just doing it wrong?
peace out x

Uniq one = miracle hair product
Over the years you could hardly say ive been kind to my hair, I started dying it when i was 14 and havent looked back since, ive been bleached nearly white, gone to the darkest shaedes of black and about one hundred diferent colours in between, and if that wasnt enough i had a great idea of having long wavy hair extensions glued to my tresses, and while they were lovely for a month and a half my own hair started to get matted and tangled so much so that i had to actually cut lumps from my already thinning hair.
Now christmas just gone an angel in the form of my soon to be mother in law with a bottle of hair treatment spray called uniq one , id never heard of it before so i never really held out much hope for it , but OH how i was to swayed, here are some of its claims
Now christmas just gone an angel in the form of my soon to be mother in law with a bottle of hair treatment spray called uniq one , id never heard of it before so i never really held out much hope for it , but OH how i was to swayed, here are some of its claims
Described as "the world's first non rinse mask", Uniq One is a spray on product which aims to assist the repair of dry, damaged hair, control frizz, provide heat protection, promote smoothness, makes hot styling easier, detangles the hair, provides hold, prevents split ends and adds volume.
Thoses were some pretty hefty claims if you ask, but from the very first time i used it it tranformed my usually dry, crispy, frizzy mess on top of my head into a shiny silky wonder.
you just spray it in before you blowdry and enjoy the benefits.
when it came to finding it whan my bottle ran out it seemed you could only get it off t'internet, but now it seem the nail and beauty bar all over dublin sell it for 15 euro, and it will be the best 15 euro you will ever spend as my bottle has lasted me nearly 4 months and i use it twice a week,
So ladies go forth and have massive hair because in the words of cheryl cole......
YOUR WORTH IT
Peace out x

Glitter crackles just DONT work
Now im not very artistic when it comes to fancy arsed designs on my nails, i cant even do a french manicure, so i thought the moiac effect given by the crackle top coat was lovely and i had to give it a try. So i was in boots on saturday and they have a 3 for 2 offer on all there cosmetics and i had alredy picked up 2 things and was franticlly looking for a free thing *thats how i roll* when the new 17 crackle top coat caught my eye, its not expensive 5 euro or something so i picked it up,
The crackle coat was black but it had like gold glitter in it, and i thought if i painted it over orange nail polish it would give me like a nice shiny tiger effect.......
It didnt go quite as planned, the glitter in the top coat distorts the mosiac effect and i was let with a horrible looking mess,
So ladies the moral of the story is hell no glitter dont go
peace out x

wellity, wellity, wellity what is that in the sky? hello sunshine!
Now i dont know about you lot BUT me, i dont like wearing a whole face full of foundation during the warmer months, So when i heard that BBcreams where hitting our shores i was nothing short of fecking delighted, but alas my joy was not to last very long as ive tried out 3 so far (not obsessed or anything) and they ALL gave me a shiny face after an hour or so.
The 3 ive tried are NO7 bb cream for normal skin (obvs im not normal)
Garnier bb cream
and Rimmels new edition
and you guessed it shiner than snow whites mirror i was.....
Im going to give bbcreams ONE MORE TRY with the new clinique version, will it be too pale for the more sunkist (fake tan) version of myself for the summer?? they seem to be all fairly pale
so today will be spent tracking down a sample to try before you buy (i highly recommend you do this)
and maybe this time next week ill be a bb aholic .........or will the sun be gone by then :)
Peace out x
