Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Foundation : Review, Swatches, Photos

Even though I favour BB Cream during a normal day, If I have something on like Cocktails, Dinner or even just the Cinema I like to go all out with a good coverage foundation. Over the years I have done quite a bit of researching the whole foundation thing and have gone through a tonne, and Lancome Teint Idole came out on top. I have have gone through countless bottles of the stuff at this stage. But being on the never ending hunt for something a little better I decided to give Make Up Forever Mat Velvet a shot.

I picked up the shade "30" its quite a pale shade but there was even paler shades available, I was quite impressed by the shade range.
The foundation is a little thicker that my Lancome favourite and it buffed into my skin really well with my Sigma F80 brush.
Oily skinned ladies will love this, it kept my skin matte for hours and didn't separate on the areas where other foundations have let me down.

As you can see from the photo the foundation covers a multitude, including redness and blemishes.
I wouldn't say MUFE have replaced Lancome as my favourite but its certainly on a par, and I would definitely repurchase when this runs out.

Have you ever tried MUFE?
What did you like from the brand?

  8. I always love reading foundation reviews. As I'm quite pale as well usually the hardest part of buying foundation is finding one that is light enough for my skin colour (not an easy feat) but also having oily skin really does help either. I'll definitely have to check out this range, thanks for sharing :)
