Yes, you read that right. A whole, rather large portion of either pasta, rice or noodles for just 7 calories. Eat Water have a whole range of carb free diet friendly meal accompaniments. They are made from water and a vegetable fiber called Moyu which is grown in Japan. Not only are they free from carbs but they're gluten free, vegan, egg and dairy and sugar free. A great product for anyone that suffers from food allergies.
Its very simple to prepare them, just rinse them under warm water to remove starch and heat them in the microwave for one minute. They don't look like the most appetizing thing in the world on their own, and they don't have much taste either, but when you add them to your dish, curry, bolognese ect. they take on the colour and flavour of the sauce.
(I'm obviously no food blogger)
I tried them out recently in a stirfry and added soy sauce, they were delicious. No different to the high calorie version, and I was left feeling full and satisfied.
You can pick up the Eat Water range from Holland&Barratt's, pharmacies nationwide and from the Eat Water website www.eatwater.ie
